We started because the phone didn't get answered.
Kashif Rehman spent twelve years on the tools before he ran dispatch. Four of those years were in Sharjah working nights. He kept a tally on the side of his toolbox: out of every five emergency calls coming in after 10 PM, four were never answered — not because plumbers weren't available, but because nobody was near a phone.
RapidFix is what he and Noor built to fix that. One van in 2019. Nine vans today. Twenty-two staff. A 45-minute response guarantee that pays out the first 30 minutes of labour free if we miss it. And, since February 2026, an AI dispatcher called Omar that handles first triage at all hours — so when you call, somebody always picks up.
Timeline
Kashif's apprenticeship
Kashif Rehman starts as an apprentice with a Sharjah-based contractor covering mid-rise residential towers. Runs night shifts from week one.
UAE-CMP Master Plumber cert
Kashif passes his UAE Certified Master Plumber exams. Starts coordinating his own night-shift rota at the contractor — realises 4 in 5 emergency calls aren't being answered.
RapidFix founded
Kashif and his wife Noor open RapidFix. One van, two phones, a single promise: somebody always picks up. They take their first call at 2:47 AM on opening night.
First commercial contract
A Business Bay FM firm signs RapidFix for 12 properties after a competitor failed an after-hours sewage call. Contracts become 30% of revenue within 18 months.
Sharjah hub opens
Second workshop opens in Industrial Area 13, Sharjah. Arif Khan joins as Sharjah lead.
47th commercial contract
Quiet scaling year. We pass 47 live commercial contracts and start rotating quarterly stack surveys on every high-rise account.
Omar goes live
After six months of trialling, we wire CBHiTech's Retell + Gemini dispatcher into the main line. Live-answer rate jumps from 72% to 99.1%. Kashif still rides out two nights a week.
