Call first. Chat later.
For Category 1 emergencies a phone call is always faster than online chat. Omar on the line routes you in under 90 seconds.
Safety steps before the van arrives
Burst pipe / flooding
Isolate the water at the main shut-off valve (typically in the utility cupboard or behind the washing machine). Switch off electricity at the DB if the water is anywhere near a socket or appliance. Move valuables off the floor. We're en route — do not try to bail water with an electrical vacuum.
Suspected gas leak
Switch off the gas at the cylinder valve or main shut-off. Open all windows. Do not switch on any electrical appliance, including light switches. Leave the property if the smell is strong. Call DEWA gas emergency 991 and return once the utility clears the area. RapidFix cannot dispatch into an unsecured gas-leak site — we follow up once the utility has cleared.
Sewage back-up
Do not touch the backed-up water directly. Keep children and pets out of the affected area. Open windows for ventilation. Our plumber will arrive with PPE and a sealed wet-vac.
Water near electricity
If you see sparking or smell burning, isolate the distribution board immediately and call Civil Defence on 997 before calling us. We cannot safely work until the DB is off.
